INTERNSHIPS

When Calvert Street’s founder, Darden Copeland, created the firm’s original business plan, he laid out his vision for a robust internship program. Since then, we have hired over 150 interns from nearly 20 colleges and universities across the country.

Calvert Street offers an immersive experience in which interns are staffed on multiple projects across the firm’s portfolio. Interns are paired with a mentor and are invited to complete a semester-long “intern project,” which is presented to the entire staff at the conclusion of their internships.

We have a strong track record of hiring interns as full-time staff. Currently, six full-time staff members, including our Director of Renewables, completed an internship at Calvert Street before joining the firm full-time.

Calvert Street interns leverage their experience at the firm in a wide variety of post-graduate professional experiences.

A few examples include:

  • Law school—Vanderbilt School of Law, Georgetown Law, and The University of Alabama School of Law

  • Weber Shandwick

  • Oliver Wyman

  • Goldman Sachs

  • Vanderbilt Health

  • The Wisco Project

  • Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee
