TOM JURKOVICH
Tom Jurkovich has more than 35 years of high-level experience in local and national public affairs. A Nashville native, Tom held senior roles with three Nashville Mayors and served as the airport’s (BNA) vice president for communications and public affairs. As director of the Mayor's Office of Economic and Community Development from 2002 to 2007, he acted as Nashville's chief corporate recruiter during a period in which Nissan North America, Asurion, Caremark, Clarcor, and Louisiana-Pacific and others relocated their company headquarters to the Nashville area. His career history includes service as National Field Director for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee(DCCC), staff director for the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on House Administration, deputy assistant secretary for intergovernmental affairs for the U.S. Department of Commerce, and government relations director for Microsoft Corp. Before entering the public affairs sphere, he was a litigator at Fulbright and Jaworski in Houston, Texas. He holds an undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and a law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law, where he was Order of the Coif and Executive Editor of the Law Review.
